Inferno on A17 at Walpole Cross Keys
A huge fire has closed the A17 at Walpole Cross Keys this afternoon.
The scale of the drama was captured in dramatic pictures taken by village Angela Warner.
She was riding along the A17 on her motorbike at about 3pm when she came across the flames at the property in Station Road.
She said: "It was a raging inferno, that's the only words for it. I thought 'bloody hell'. When I got there, there was only one fire engine in attendance so it had not been going long.
"It was at a place where they store old pallets, it is quite a well known landmark.
"I could really feel the heat. I could get past it but as I stood watching it the police came along and closed the road. It would have peeled the paint off the cars it was so hot and there were explosions going on. I think there were gas cannisters in there and a JCB parked."
No-one has been reported injured in the fire which is still ongoing.
