The Reinforced Bed Company: Delivering beds for heavy people and those with challenging behaviours

A Walpole Cross Keys specialist bed company has just marked 10 years in business.

The Reinforced Bed Company in Station Road was launched by Nicholas Forth in 2015, who spotted a gap in the market and decided to rent a shed, from where he sold the beds.

Today, the business occupies a site with 3000m2, where it manufactures its own beds, and has recently grown to 11 employees.

The family-run, online only business sells stylish sturdy beds for heavy people and those with challenging behaviours such as autism.

Forth said: "Sustainability is at our core. Strong beds that last longer is part of Reinforced Beds DNA."

Among its leading products are the Letton bed frame, which is metal and features reinforced mesh and thicker side rails, and the Brick mattress, which is extra/super firm for bariatric use and people with challenging behaviours.

As a nod to the company’s heritage, all of the products are named after Norfolk towns and villages, including the four premium metal beds: Melton, Letton, Calthorpe and Tunstall.

The company delivers beds nationwide via express or next day delivery. The company offices are open from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30pm.
