Move over Magic Mike! Review of the King's Lynn performance of the Dreamboys Hard To Resist tour 2022
The Corn Exchange in Lynn was full to the brim on Friday night for the Dreamboys show, with men and women of all ages flocking to see the famous strip dancers perform.
The Dreamboys, who have been likened to US strip sensation Magic Mike starring Channing Tatum, tour the UK every year with their steamy show.
They have been touring the UK for three decades with many top names and dancers under their belt, so to speak.
Head choreographer Jordan Darell has performed in West End musicals such as Thriller, The Bodyguard and studied at the Cambridge centre for performing arts.
Dancer Rogan O' Connor has starred the hit MTV show Ex on the beach however he now spends a lot of his time over in Los Angeles filming the biggest show on MTV USA The Challenge of which he is the current reigning champion.
Richard Smikle has also spent time in the West End afer travelling and training at the Royal Ballet School then continued his journey to complete a Masters at Performing Arts College.
Richard Smile, also known as Smike, started his career in the Ray Charles musical in Monte Carlo and continued to dance around the world on many stages ending up in the West End stage with a Thriller Live. After a long stint playing Michael Jackson Smike joined the Dreamboys as a dancer and assistant choreographer working alongside his best friend Jordan Darell.
The show started off with some amazing choreography skills, as the screaming crowd cheered the lads on-stage.
As well as rippling torsos, the group stunned with their incredible dance skills, seeing them pulling complicated moves in an array of outfits.
The dancers often came into the audience, much to the delight of fans, who appeared mesmerised at their gyrating.
Brides-to-be were pulled onto the main stage for the ultimate treat, a one-on-one with the cast themselves, although one bride had a giant dildo waved in her face.
Another had a steamy dance with one of the boys dressed as a fireman, although he certainly looked better at starting fires than putting them out!
He managed to keep his member under wraps until the interval, revealing it to a shocked crowd.
Someone even said: "Is it real?"
The show was a mix of strip classics, including an umbrella tease, army men and a vintage style comedy skit which saw the boys cleaning each other's parts with a mop.
The performance was fast paced and energetic - keeping the audience at the edge of their seats throughout.
The grand finale saw a spectacular performance from a dancer (sorry I didn't catch his name I was too busy staring) who had a very big surprise for the crowd!
The boys lined up at the end to take photos with fans and were very professional.
A definite treat for those who are a fan of ripped muscles and fabulous dancing. Just what Lynn needed after the lull of lockdown!
