Pupils at St George’s Middle School in Dersingham learnt about energy efficiency in 2004

In our Memory Lane Schooldays column, we look back to February 2004...

Pupils at St George’s Middle School in Dersingham were given the chance to learn more about energy efficiency when the borough council’s special bus rolled into the playground in February 2004.

Council housing officer Tony Howell said the energy bus was also touring the borough to offer energy efficiency tips to householders.

One of the colourful pictures on the bus was by school pupil Faye Evans in 2002 when schools in the area were invited to enter a competition to design energy images.

The children also had the opportunity to look at solar panels and the workings of a model turbine. Joining them in this picture are, from left, Mr Howell, teacher Kate Prentice and Carol Prentice from the borough council.
