Robert Massingham breaches suspended sentence after driving offences in Fakenham

A 23-year-old could face prison after breaching a suspended sentence by committing a raft of driving offences.

Robert Massingham was driving along Holt Road in Fakenham on September 27 last year when he was pulled over by the police.

He had been driving without due care and attention, and also had no insurance, was disqualified, and failed to stop for officers.

He pleaded guilty to all four offences when he appeared at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, and admitted breaching the suspended sentence.

It was handed to him at Norwich Crown Court in May last year, with an eight-month jail term suspended for one year.

Lynn magistrates opted to send Massingham back to the Norwich court, which will determine whether to activate the sentence.

Massingham, of Chapel Lane in Hempstead, will learn his fate on the week commencing April 7.

He has been released on unconditional bail, and has been handed an additional interim driving ban which will last for six months or until he is sentenced.
