Downham Market man Daniel Brundell set to face trial over alleged sexual offences in Spalding
A 59-year-old is set to face a trial after being accused of committing a number of sexual offences against children.
Daniel Brundell, of Launditch Crescent in Downham, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
He is accused of a number of offences, including two counts of inciting a girl aged under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
Brundell is also charged with three counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by touching – including by shaving her pubic hair – three counts of sexual assault, and two counts of inciting a girl aged 13-15 in sexual activity.
Finally, he is accused of two counts of making indecent photographs of a child and two of taking indecent photographs of a child.
All of the offences are alleged to have been committed in Spalding, Lincolnshire, between December 2014 and November 2020.
Magistrates have sent the case to Lincolnshire Crown Court for a trial. Brundell’s next appearance in court will be on March 4 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
At this stage, he has not entered pleas to any of the offences.
Brundell has been remanded on unconditional bail.
