Robbie Williams gave us a magical night at Royal Estate
Robbie Williams – Live at Sandringham Estate
Until this weekend, I had never seen Robbie Williams perform but it had been on my bucket list since family members saw him live in Manchester. So I took the opportunity to take my mum to the sold-out Royal Sandringham Estate show on Saturday night.
Robbie is definitely a top performer and, as well as belting out his big hits, really got the crowd involved in the show, especially a couple called Shirley and Mark who he talked to throughout the night, even dedicating songs to them!
I did feel he could have spent less time making us laugh and a little more time singing, but I soon forgot any criticisms when he belted out classics such as ‘Let Me Entertain You,’ ‘Rock DJ,’ and ‘Angels’. With the crowd of more than 20,000 singing at the top of their voices too, it really was a special occasion. Especially during ‘Angels’ where everyone had their phone lights on – when I looked down the field behind me it was a sea of lights. It really did feel magical.
The only downside for me was the lack of seating, especially around the food cart areas and in the VIP area. And, where I was standing during the performance, a group of people had dumped their bags and blankets in a big pile on the floor which took up a lot of room. Hopefully this won’t be allowed next time there’s a big concert here.
Overall it was a great event and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a night to remember and it is lovely that Sandringham is holding these major events.
