Houghton a sea of pink as runners race for life
Hundreds of participants turned up to Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK at Houghton Hall's estate on Tuesday, July 12.
It was a sea of pink as runners gathered in fancy dress at the starting line to run 5k for the charity.
Children and dogs, one wearing rainbow butterfly wings took part in the event and some adults wore tutus and bright pink wigs.
Runners wore their race numbers on their backs, with details of who they were running on behalf of with one stating: "I race for finding a cure."
Another said: "I race for Deb who always helped other, wish she was here with us.
A little girl wore her message that read: "I race for life for all the people who are fighting cancer, "
