Busy road closed following overnight crash near Fakenham

The main road link between Lynn and Fakenham is closed this morning following a crash overnight.

Drivers are being urged to find alternative routes following an incident on the A148 in the Tattersett area, which happened in the early hours of this morning.

A post on the Norfolk Police Twitter feed a short time ago said officers were still at the scene of the incident, adding that "the road is closed and likely to be until further notice".

The post also urged drivers to "please avoid the area and find an alternative route".

The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to a road collision in the area at around 1.50am today.

It said Fakenham-based crews had provided "casualty care and scene safety".
