A47 closed at Swaffham

The A47 heading into West Norfolk has been closed for most of the evening after a serious accident at Little Fransham.

The road is still closed between Dereham and Swaffham and vehicles are on diversion.

Recovery work is now taking place after the accident which happened about 6pm.

National Highways East said: "The #A47 is currently closed in both directions at minor junctions in #LittleFransham which is located between the #A1065 #Swaffham and the #A1075 #Dereham.

"@NorfolkPolice are on scene dealing with a serious collision. Please allow extra journey time if travelling in the area."
