Accident involving lorry at A149 King's Lynn roundabout

One person was transported to hospital after an accident held up traffic on the outskirts of Lynn this afternoon.

Police were called at 3.25pm to reports of a collision between a lorry and a car on the A149 roundabout near Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said one person was transported to hospital for further assessment and treatment.

She added: "An ambulance attended a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry on the junction of Gayton Road just before 3.30pm today."

Queues were reported on Gayton Road but the road has now been cleared.
