Kings’s Lynn Players receive grant and will perform Alice in Wonderland at St George’s Guildhall




An amateur theatre group has been awarded a £5,000 grant that will help them continue with performances and activities.

The Lynn Players Young Players have received the funding from Norfolk Community Foundation through the Shakespeare’s Guildhall Trust to support their production of Alice in Wonderland and other activities over the next year.

Their production of Alice in Wonderland will be performed at St George’s Guildhall on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 with shows at 2pm and 7pm.

Wendy Fisher, chair of Lynn Players, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this grant which will continue the legacy of Lynn Players and Young Players as a driving force in supporting the Guildhall of St George.

“The building has become a second home for many over us over the years. We have always encouraged a lifelong love of the theatre for our young people and aim to continue this with the next generation project.

“Thank you to the Norfolk Community Foundation Trust for recognising this and providing us with funding to support our activities.”
