Appeal for dashcam footage after spate of burglaries in West Norfolk
Detectives are appealing for information and dashcam footage following a spate of burglaries in West Norfolk yesterday (Wednesday, June 20).
Police are investigating five break-ins which happened yesterday between 10.30am and 5.30pm at Glebe Estate in Tilney All Saints, Fir Tree Drive and Westland Chase in West Winch, Lynn Road in Setch, and West Road in Shouldham Thorpe.
Officers say it remains unclear whether any property was stolen during the incidents.
It is believed suspects travelled in a dark-coloured Audi estate on the A10 between West Winch and Lynn and police are keen to hear from anyone who travelled along this route between 2.20pm and 2.40pm and has a dashcam.
Police are also investigating an incident in Walton Highway at about 6.30pm yesterday where three men knocked on the door of an address in School Road and briefly spoke to the resident before leaving in a dark-coloured Audi.
Det Sgt Sam Pontin, from Lynn CID, said: "We're keen to hear from anyone who may have information which could help the investigation, in particular residents who may have witnessed three men using a dark-coloured Audi acting suspiciously, either knocking on doors or looking out of character."
Det Sgt Pontin also urged homeowners to review their home security and to contact police if they see or hear anything out of the ordinary.
"Please ensure your doors and windows are locked and secure at all times and if you do need to leave your home unattended, something simple such as leaving on the radio or television can be a good deterrent to opportunistic thieves."
Anyone with information or believes they may have dashcam footage which can assist the enquiry should contact Lynn CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
