Apprentice at Hunstanton's Specsavers store encourages others during National Apprenticeship Week
Apprentice at Hunstanton's Specsavers store Emma Louise Coleman hasn't looked back since taking up her role less than a year ago.
Now she is encouraging more people to consider a similar route into a fulfilling career during National Apprenticeship Week this week.
Emma first saw the role in Hunstanton Specsavers online and applied immediately. She started in March 2019 and hopes to graduate in April.
She said: "Every day in the store is completely different. One day I could be pre-screening customers ahead of their eye examination, another day I can be helping a customer pick out the right glasses for their prescription or helping them choose which glasses style to go for. I also have a set study time, when I sit down with my laptop and complete the online training modules and assessments."
On completion of her apprenticeship Emma hopes to continue her learning journey and work in the contact lens team.

The theme for this year’s National Apprenticeship Week is Look Beyond and aims to celebrate the breadth of industries and roles available, and the value that apprenticeships bring to employers, apprentices and communities across England.
