Apprenticeship proves successful at King's Lynn's QEH
A staff member at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital has completed his apprenticeship and passed with flying colours.
Achieving a distinction, Liam Cawston has completed his level 5 Operations Management apprenticeship.
The head of portering started his apprenticeship in 2017, soon after accepting the role as Head of Portering at the hospital, a role he had previously held for six months on secondment.
Liam said: “The course was really useful and has been a huge benefit to me in my role at QEH already. I would strongly encourage anyone thinking about developing themselves though any of the hospital’s apprenticeship schemes, both the hospital and the educators are so supportive and really encouraging.”
“The apprenticeship has given me the knowledge and confidence to help support me in my role as a manager. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and would highly recommend it.”
The apprenticeship course provided Liam with the knowledge and skills of managing people effectively which will be highly useful in his day-to-day role.
The hospital provides a range of apprenticeship programmes working in close partnership with Lynn’s College of West Anglia, where Liam’s apprenticeship was operated through.
