Charges brought over town centre disturbance
Two men from villages near Swaffham have been charged in connection with a disturbance in which two police officers were injured.
Norfolk Police have today announced that five people will appear in court later this month on charges relating to an incident in Watton on September 5 last year.
Soloman Patience, 25, of School Road, Necton, faces two allegations of assaulting emergency workers, plus counts of affray, possession of a class A drug and obstructing a police officer.
Connor Williams, 24, of St Michael's Crescent, Great Cressingham, is accused of affray and obstructing a police officer.
The pair will both appear before magistrates in Norwich on March 23, alongside three other defendants.
Ryan Amys, 27, of Henry Cross Close, Shipdham has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place, obstructing a police officer and common assault of an emergency worker and affray.
Kayleigh Turley, 25, of Henry Cross Close, Shipdham is accused of obstructing a police officer and assaulting an emergency worker.
And Stephen Gavin Abel, 52, Ovington Road, Saham Toney has been charged with obstructing a police constable and assaulting an emergency worker.
