Cheering children greet Queen on RAF Marham visit
The Queen has visited RAF Marham today to meet service personnel and see some of its newest aircraft.
The flags were out as the 93-year-old monarch arrived at the base this morning.
And pupils from the village's Cherry Tree Academy also presented flowers to her.
Station commander, Group Captain Jim Beck, said: "RAF Marham is very proud to have The Queen as Honorary Air Commodore of the base and it is always an honour to welcome Her Majesty to the station.
"This was an opportunity to showcase some of the new Lightning facilities that are now in use on Her Majesty's station and to introduce her to some of the personnel that work here."
During her visit, the Queen saw demonstrations of engine maintenance, weapons load and a canopy change.
She was also driven to a viewing area to watch one of the base's F-35 Lightning aircraft conduct a vertical landing on one of the purpose built vertical landing pads.
