The White Horse in Brancaster Staithe named scoops up awards

A West Norfolk restaurant has been named in the top 59 award-winning establishments in the country, entirely based on reviews.

The White Horse in Brancaster Staithe has been ranked by Open Table, a restaurant booking website, which has based its awards on how many reviews and awards that have been received.

General manager of the White Horse, Rob Williamson, said: "These awards are compiled solely from diners’ reviews so is extra special to know that we are ‘hitting the spot’ and sitting alongside the best of the best. Our team received some rave reviews from Open Table diners.

“We’re buzzing and can’t wait to open Marshside dining in our newly installed marquee this Easter.”

The White Horse has also taken home another award - as the Best Premium Food Offer at The Publican Awards, which were hosted in London, last month.

The team celebrated on Wednesday night and later put up a Facebook post saying: “It is a huge reward for all the effort we put into nurturing relationships with local suppliers, driving sustainability through our business and training our teams to be the very best, ultimately creating delicious dishes for you from the wonderful mix of kitchens across our family business.”

They were up against three other restaurants around the UK.

The post continued: “As much as we cook great food and create beautiful environments, what really gets us out of bed each morning is the desire to make people happy.

“Putting a smile on our guests’ faces might sound cheesy, but it is what drives us to do what we do each and every day.”
