Coronavirus: One patient dies as five more discharged from King's Lynn hospital
A further coronavirus-related death has been recorded at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The case, which was revealed in today's updated daily figures from NHS England, is the 105th death of a patient who had tested positive for Covid-19 at the QEH since the outbreak began.
The hospital's chief executive, Caroline Shaw, said: “I can confirm that one patient, a man in his 80s, who had tested positive for COVID-19 has died while being cared for at our hospital.
"On behalf of the Trust, I would like to offer my condolences to his relatives and loved ones.”
But the hospital has also revealed that a further five patients have now been discharged from its care after contracting the infection.
That means the number of discharges now stands at 166.
