Despair at raw sewage in Pott Row
Anger has been expressed at flooding in the village of Pott Row.
Heavy rain on Wednesday has left a legacy of flooded fields and overflowing watercourses.
One of the worst has been in Pott Row as seen in these pictures sent into the Lynn News by Julie Smart, of Grimston. She said: "A big flood in the little village of Pott Row, never seen it like this before down Cliff-en-Howe Road and on the village green."
John Missing, of Back Lane in Pott Row and a former parish clerk to Grimston, wrote an angry letter to North West Norfolk MP James Wild complaining that sewage was flowing through the street of Pott Row.
He said: "Here we are after a horrific year of Lockdown and death, the week leading up to Christmas and still able to paddle in sewage, if we are so inclined! There have been tankers pumping out the sewers, but still sewage bubbles up through the manholes. Yes, it has been very wet, but this is the norm now and how many more years must we live in l9th century Grimston?"
