The handover took place at Tapping House, where the housebuilder showed its support for the charity’s invaluable work in the community. The hospice, which is celebrating its 40th year, provides free compassionate care and support to people with end-of-life illnesses and their families, ensuring dignity and comfort during difficult times.

Mr Smith said: “We are delighted to support Tapping House with this donation and to be part of the Tulips for Tapping event. This charity plays a vital role in the community.

“As a five-star housebuilder committed to supporting the areas where we build, we take great pride in giving back to local causes.”

Niki Ellis, Tapping House chief executive, added: “We are truly grateful for this generous sponsorship, which will contribute to the vital care services we offer at the hospice.

“This donation is not only a tremendous support for our mission but also serves as a wonderful acknowledgment of our fundraising event, Tulip for Tapping.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Persimmon Homes East Midlands for this upcoming event, and we look forward to working together to make a lasting impact in the community.”

The Persimmon Homes team was delighted to be joined by West Norfolk Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Paul and Marion Bland, at the Community Champions cheque donation.

Every year, regional Persimmon Homes businesses donate £24,000 to organisations, charities and educational centres local to their developments. This latest donation supports Tapping House which is not too far from Persimmon’s Lavender Fields at South Wootton and The Willows development at Downham Market.

Tulips for Tapping draws thousands of visitors from across the UK, Europe and beyond to admire the stunning tulip fields while raising vital funds for hospice care.

Persimmon Homes’ donation will directly support the charity’s ongoing work, ensuring patients and their families receive compassionate rest-of-life care.
