Dozens take part in Wallington Hall's fundraising run and walk

Dozens of people took part in a charity run and walk around the grounds of Wallington Hall, near South Runcton, at the weekend.

The event, which took place on Sunday, covered routes of five and 10 kilometres.

It was jointly organised by Lynn’s Trinity Rotary Club, the West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled group and the Norfolk Accident Rescue Service (NARS).

John Hodson, chairman of the Trinity club’s fundraising committee, said 45 people had taken part in the event, which is expected to raise around £800 for the benefiting causes, though money is still coming in.

He said: “We had a lot of positive feedback and a lot of interest for us to do it again next year.

“They said the course was excellent and most of them enjoyed it.”

The organisers have also thanked the hall’s owners, Mr and Mrs John Plaxton, for their support.
