Early hours fire drama in West Norfolk village




Emergency crews from two counties battled a blaze in a West Norfolk village overnight.

Firefighters were called to a domestic building blaze in Long Lane, Feltwell, shortly after 2.20am this morning.

The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said its crews from Methwold and Downham were joined by Suffolk units from Brandon and Mildenhall at the scene.

The incident was said to have been resolved by around 3.15am.

Elsewhere, a chimney blaze was reported at a house in Warham, near Holkham, last night.

Units were alerted to the incident in Chapel Street at around 9.20pm, but found the flames had been put out before they arrived.
