Elderly man dies following crash in Outwell

An elderly man has died following a road collision in a West Norfolk village earlier this week.

Emergency crews were called to Basin Road, Outwell, at around 5.40pm on Monday following reports of a crash involving a silver Renault Kangoo and a grey Range Rover.

The Renault left the road and collided with a wall following the impact.

Norfolk Police said this morning that the driver of the Renault, a man in his 80s who is thought to have suffered a medical episode, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Lynn, where he died yesterday.

Anyone who saw the incident, or who has information about it, is asked to contact the Swaffham roads policing unit via the non-emergency 101 number.
