Firefighters called to a skip blaze at Whittington Hill in Whittington

Firefighters were called to a skip blaze in a village yesterday evening.

Crews from Thetford and Downham responded to reports of a skip fire at Whittington Hill in Whittington at around 6.50pm.

Firefighters used hose reel jets and hand appliances to extinguish the blaze.

The stop message, meaning that the incident was under control, was received at 7.48pm.
