Firefighters called to house in flames on The Drove in Barroway Drove near Downham Market




Firefighters rushed to a house which caught alight in a village last night.

Emergency services were called to The Drove in Barroway Drove near Downham at 6.25pm yesterday evening following reports of a home in flames.

Crews from Outwell, North and South Lynn as well as Swaffham and Fakenham joined the town’s team in tackling the blaze which lasted for almost five hours.

After using an aerial ladder platform, water carrier, breathing apparatus, main jets and hose reel jets, the fire was put out and the incident was under control by 11.02pm.
