Flying high as Magpas Air Ambulance visits Downham Market school

Pupils in Downham were flying high last week when their school played host to the new Magpas Air Ambulance.

The aircraft visited Downham Preparatory School as part of its big community fly-in, which youngsters were given a tour of.

During the hour-long stopover, the school choir and the St Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir sang to the crowds.

A spokeswoman for the school said: “We would like to thank Magpas for choosing us as their first stopover, it was a tremendous experience. We like to think that our children share the new air ambulance philosophy of Further, Faster, Greater.”
