Dramatic scenes as fire engulfs King's Lynn outbuilding
There were alarming scenes in Gaywood after a fire broke out there yesterday evening.
Emergency crews were called to an incident in the Salters Road area at around 6.30pm on Monday, eyewitnesses reported.
And reader Donna Setchell shared this footage of the blaze, which happened close to her home.
She said there were concerns for the welfare of a number of chickens kept in a nearby garden, though they were all unharmed. The fire is understood to have destroyed a large outbuilding, hedges and fencing.
The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said units were from Lynn and Sandringham were called to a building fire in nearby Shaw Lane at around 7pm on Monday.
They spent just over 30 minutes at the scene tackling the flames.
