King’s Lynn 8:56 Foundation Lynn News’ charity of the year teams up with Team Legends for classic anthems night that raised thousands for men’s charity
The 8:56 Foundation, the West Norfolk-based men’s wellbeing organisation, has recently received a four-figure sum following a charity event in Lynn.
The classic anthems night was held at Duke’s Head on Tuesday Market Place in April, hosted by Team Legends, the DJ and party specialists.
The hotly anticipated night sold out a month in advance.
A range of 80s and 90s hits were played through the night, with attendees dressing up in vibrant and nostalgic outfits reflecting the decades, raising money for a great cause.
Les Miller and Jon Church from Team Legends presented a cheque on Monday, June 5 for £2,000 to 8:56 Foundation committee members Natasha Colman, LauraHarrod and Raymond Sherring, pictured above.
Matt Oakes, chairman, 8:56 Foundation Matt Oakes, said: “We would like to thank Team Legends for thinking of the 8:56 Foundation for this event.
“It was a pleasure to partner up with them for the fundraiser, and everyone had a fabulous evening.
“The classic anthems night provided yet more awareness for men’s mental health in our community, and the money raised will allow us to continue to support that.”
The 8:56 Foundation will be hosting a free archery session as part of its Men’s Time programme tomorrow.
Places are limited for the event, which starts at noon and will take place at Marshland Archers.
Bookings are still open for this session.
