Free online workshops with Norfolk Recycles
Norfolk Recycles won't waste an opportunity during lockdown to inspire the whole family to start recycling with new dates for free virtual workshops.
Their Composting for Beginners online workshops have already proved a huge success, with everyone who attended the previous events saying it had given them the confidence to start composting.
Delivered by Norfolk Master Composters, the events will be held online during February and March, and they are designed to help you get started, or improve your composting.
The hour-long sessions are taking place today at 10am, on February 24 at 2pm, March 3 at 7pm, March 11 at 2pm, March 18 at 7pm and March 25 at 2pm. You can book your free workshop by visiting https://www.norfolkrecycles.com/
If you're looking for ways to keep the children entertained while their studying at home, Norfolk Recycles has also created a set of fun, interactive activity sheets covering a range of environmentally-themed topics.
Also available on the website, youngsters can have a go at a recycling word search, try cooking with leftovers, get creative and make a single-use sea creature, go on a compost creature hunt. The sheets also include some tips on how to reduce your waste.
Norfolk County Council also launched its annual recycling centre survey this week, which will run until March 31. The survey takes just five minutes to complete and is an opportunity for residents to provide Norfolk Recycles with feedback about their recycling centres.
The survey provides information about what is working well, what could be improved and how residents are using the household waste recycling centres.
If you are not using the recycling centres, they also want to hear from you so they can understand why.
The survey is available online at: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/norfolk-recycling-centre-survey-2021/
