Friends fund new gym at Terrington St Clement school

Youngsters at a West Norfolk village school have been getting to grips with some new fitness equipment, thanks to a support group.

A new outdoor gym has been installed at the Terrington St Clement Community School following a £7,000 fundraising campaign led by the school’s Friends group, FOSA.

Group chairman Caroline Coates said the idea of the gym had been put forward by pupils themselves, while the group hosted a series of events to raise the cash needed.

She said: “We already have the trim trail and we wanted to put something a bit different in.

“We may put some more in in the future. It’s six pieces of equipment and we have about 350 children.”
