A busy year for Hunstanton Friendship Group

A coastal friendship club is celebrating another year of events.

The Friday Friendship Group, sponsored by Hunstanton Town Council, meets in the community centre on Friday mornings offering drop-in coffee mornings and a great place to make new friends.

A spokesperson said: “Many members bring their knitting or other crafts to do as they sit and chat. The group is part of the Warm Spaces scheme, alongside the Helping Hands Cafe held in the town hall every Monday morning, and for a small fee there’s unlimited tea, coffee, biscuits and toast.”

Other visitors have included Heacham Singers, representatives from ScamAware, VisionNorfolk and IT Help@The Library. Members have also enjoyed fish and chips lunches, an Easter hat parade and a Christmas party.

The group also hosts the annual Hunstanton Town Council Macmillan Coffee Morning, held at the Town Hall, which this year raised more than £250, and a Wear it Pink morning for Breast Cancer UK.

“So, if you are looking for a warm and welcoming place to go on a Friday morning, pop along to the Hunstanton Community Centre, 10.30am - noon and join in,” the spokesperson added.
