Tangled Unisex Hair Salon opens doors to new Swaffham location
A town’s hair salon has enjoyed a successful first day back in business after moving into new premises.
Tangled Unisex Hair Salon, which used to be inside the former Stanley’s building on Swaffham’s Lynn Street, has now relocated to 19 Station Street.
Owner Kathy Williamson was thrilled to be back with a day of training as the doors opened again on Tuesday, June 4.
“The first day has gone really well and we’ve had plenty of people popping in to wish us good luck,” she said.
The decision to move was made after Kathy was told that Stanley’s would be closing down for good.
It was then that she asked her son, who is an accountant, to recommend some people who could help and eventually, landlord Matthew Green came to the rescue.
Tangled first opened nine years ago in Feltwell, but after a similar situation, Kathy had to move the business to her home town in Swaffham.
Now, in the business’ new home, Kathy plans to stay.
“I’m not moving anymore,” she added.
“This is a much nicer place, it is cosy and Matthew worked like a trojan to get it ready for us.”
But the building is not the only thing that’s new to the hair salon as for the first time Kathy has welcomed a junior hairdresser, named Sienna Shoat, who is renting a chair in the building.
Kathy thanked all of her customers who have stayed loyal over the years and is looking forward to growing the business further.
