Hunstanton lifeboat crew rescue four stranded people

Four people were rescued by the Hunstanton RNLI Lifeboat yesterday afternoon at Brancaster.

Coastguard UK requested the lifeboat shortly before 3pm to attend to two people cut off by the tide at Scolt Head Island.

After these two had been taken back to shore, the lifeboat crew found a further two people stranded on the island.

They were also landed on the beach and taken into the care of the local coastguard response team.

A spokesman for Hunstanton RNLI said the second two people were on the "seaward side of the island."
