King's Lynn hairdresser to take to stage at international exhibition in London

Lynn hairdresser Zoe Humphrey is over the moon with news that she has been asked to showcase her styling skills at one of the most prestigious events in her industry's calendar.

Zoe, who works at Eden Hair Design in Lynn's Tower Street, will be giving a 25-minute demonstration on stage at Salon International, which takes place in London in October.

She said: "Thousands of people attend during the course of the three days it takes place. It's well-known as being one of the biggest hairdressing exhibitions in the world.

"Never in a million years did I think they would ask me to take part, and I feel proud that even though I am from a small town, I am going to be on stage at this international event."

Zoe, 29, had to apply via social media to be considered for the opportunity, giving details about her training, which was at Lynn's College of West Anglia and then her career to date which now spans 12 years.

She has worked at other salons in Lynn and has been at Eden Hair Design for the past two and half years. All 14 of her colleagues are expecting to go to London to support her at the show. The business is also celebrating the news that they won a Muddy Stilettos award in May for being the best salon in Norfolk.

Zoe will be demonstrating her colouring and styling skills on two of her clients from Lynn at the exhibition.

She said: "I absolutely love what I do, I enjoy every day here at the salon and I get paid to do what is my hobby!"
