Hunstanton RNLI lifeboat crew rescue paddleboarder who got into trouble off coast
A paddleboarder who got into trouble off Hunstanton beach was rescued by a lifeboat crew yesterday.
The Hunstanton Lifeboat, Spirit of West Norfolk, was launched after the Coastguard reported that the woman needed help at about 4pm.
RNLI spokesman Geoff Needham said: "The crew located the boarder and got her aboard the lifeboat.
"The wind and tide was taking her offshore."
The woman was taken onto the beach and into the care of others, and no medical attention was required.
Mr Needham said it was the second call in 24 hours, as the lifeboat was also launched at 7.30pm on Wednesday after reports a swimmer was missing at Heacham.
But upon arrival, it was confirmed the swimmer was safely on shore and the lifeboat was stood down.
