Apprentice star Lord Alan Sugar enjoys a plane ride and lunch at the Dabbling Duck Great Massingham
Media personality and business juggernaut Lord Alan Sugar took a plane ride into West Norfolk at the weekend, stopping at the Dabbling Duck for a spot of lunch.
The apprentice star tweeted about the trip yesterday morning, saying: "Great lunch at the @DabblingDuckGM and good flight up there and back to Stappleford."
One Twitter use replied to the tweet. He said: "I hope you enjoyed Norfolk our Lord and Master of the Universe Alan Sugar. Great to see a celeb in Narrrrrrrflk. Doesn’t happen very often."
Others however, were more disparaging, criticising the star for the use of his plane.
One said: "Nice to see the rich doing their bit for the environment."
Another said: "Is there no such rule for using your mobile phone whilst flying?"
However, most people wished the star well, and complimented his flying skills.
Someone who was also at the Dabbling Duck replied to his tweet : "Thought it was you, we were sat just near the door."
The Dabbling Duck in Great Massingham is somewhat of a celebrity haunt, attracting the likes of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
Lord Sugar is reportedly a fan of the mussels, and has taken his helicopter there several times, landing at a nearby RAF airfield.
The eatery was named as one of the top places to stay by the Sunday Times in 2020, being described as "charming".
The inn, which has five en-suite rooms has a great menu, and home-made vodka.
