The A47 was closed in both directions for several hours causing long tailback queues on the way into Lynn.

The accident took place shortly after 6am between the Saddlebow and Hardwick roundabouts.

Norfolk Police confirmed that the cyclist involved, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.

Police appealed for witnesses to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team via the non-emergency 101 number, quoting incident number 49 of January 24.
