Man admits two thefts from King's Lynn supermarket
Security staff at a Lynn supermarket spotted a man walking out with a trolley full of unpaid goods worth £480.05.
It was the second time in a week that 31-year-old Aleksandrs Kozemjacenko had left Sainsbury's premises with items without making any attempt to pay, Lynn magistrates heard on Monday.
The goods involved in the second offence on October 19 last year were recovered but the amount involved on the previous occasion was unknown.
Kozemjacenko, who was not represented in court, was asked how much food products he had stolen on October 12.
“One bag, £100 maybe,” he replied.
Kozemjacenko, of St Valery Lane, South Lynn, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop and was fined £380 for each offence.
He was also ordered to pay £50 compensation to Sainsbury’s, £85 costs and a £38 victim surcharge.
