Former Swaffham man caught with indecent images of child and animals four days after receiving suspended prison sentence

A former Swaffham man was found with an indecent photo of a child and 189 extreme pornographic images just four days after being given a suspended sentence order.

Christopher Hobbs, 25, was given ten months’ custody, suspended for 18 months, on June 5 last year for voyeurism for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification.

He had set up covert cameras to spy on three victims in the bathroom and bedroom.

He appeared before Lynn Magistrates’ Court yesterday to plead guilty to making an indecent photograph and possession of 189 images of a person having sex with dogs and pigs in Swaffham on or before June 9 last year.

The bench said it had insufficient powers to deal with Hobbs’ case and sent it to Norwich Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

Hobbs, of Carl Hall Court, Peterborough, was granted bail with the conditions to go to Thorpe Wood Police Station to sign the sex offenders’ register and not to have unsupervised contact with anyone under 16 save for unavoidable day-to-day life.
