Man charged with King's Lynn murder
A Lynn man has been charged in connection with the murder of a woman in the town.
Officers were called to an address in Fenland Road at 10.15pm on Friday following reports a woman aged in her 20s had been stabbed, suffering serious injuries.
She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment, however she later died.
A Home Office post-mortem examination is still to be conducted to establish the exact cause of the death.
Gediminas Jasinskas, aged 29 and of Tennyson Avenue, Lynn, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon. He has been remanded into custody to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Monday).
Det Insp Lewis Craske, of the Major Investigation Team, said: "We believe this to be an isolated incident; however we are still keen to speak to anyone with information regarding it to further assist our investigation.”
