Man rescued from on top of silo in Wissington




A man was taken to casualty last Tuesday after being rescued from the top of a grain silo at Wissington, according to an eyewitness.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue logged an incident that said: "Crews attended a rescue from height on College Road in Wissington, on Tuesday. One casualty was passed to the care of the ambulance."

An eyewitness has now come forward to reveal that a man had "passed out" on top of a grain silo.

They said: "The man had passed out on top of the silo and had to be taken to hospital, he was rescued by fire crew.

"We don't know exactly what happened, but it might have been something to do with overheating in his work uniform."
