A134 between Mundford and Thetford reopens after crash as man taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds




A man has been taken to hospital after a crash involving two vehicles on a major road this morning.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the A134 between Mundford and Thetford to reports of the collision - which closed the road - at 10.40am.

Fire crews from Methwold and Thetford rescued people using hydraulic rescue equipment and made the scene safe - with the road reopening at 2.20pm.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said it sent an ambulance, SARS (Suffolk Accident Rescue Service) vehicle and an ambulance officer vehicle to the scene.

“One man was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further care,” they added.

Fire crews received a stop message regarding the incident at 11.43am.
