Mercedes driver shatters Iceland supermarket window in Swaffham
A driver in a gold Mercedes was seen backing into a supermarket window this morning, shattering the glass.
Emergency services are on the scene in Swaffham at the Iceland supermarket on 81 Market Place in the centre of town.
Two elderly women were seen looking "shaken up" wrapped in blankets after the incident, which saw the same car drive and hit a van in the supermarket car park.
An Iceland spokesperson has said: "The front of our store is extensively damaged but all the staff and members of the public are ok, the driver was taken away in an ambulance but is concious and ok."
A witness said: "I saw a gold Mercedes convertible, and the window of the supermarket had been shattered.
"I had driven up to go to a meeting in Swaffham and two elderly ladies were wrapped in blankets, they seemed shaken up, but unhurt thankfully.
"I'm shocked for all concerned and hope they will be ok."
