Mods and Rockers congregate on Hunstanton Green for biker event
Hundreds of bike lovers from across the region gathered in Hunstanton on Sunday for a meet-up on the green.
The event, which was organised by Barry Eglen and Peter Sampson, started at Knights Hill Hotel in Lynn from 10am where all 320 bikers gathered.
A group of them then made a detour to Sandringham, escorted by police, to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II who died on Thursday.
The rest of the bikers, who left at 11am, travelled directly to Hunstanton and arrived shortly before the others.
In total there were around 400-500 bikes parked in the Green.
Peter said: “It's a social event for people with different motorbikes and scooters to get together to make new friends and see people they haven't seen in a while.
“It’s a very popular event with people that come from all over including Ely, Cambridge, Peterborough and further.
“This year has been the busiest one. It was very successful, everyone was happy, everyone wants to do it again next year.”
David Garwood from the King's Lynn Gladiators raised nearly £200 for the Air Ambulance by selling Scooter Patches to mark the occasion.
Peter thanked all who took part, as well as the police for "being very helpful".
