Man dies and driver arrested after Fakenham crash on Cattle Market Street between Honda motorbike and Mitsubishi car
A man in his 20s has died and another man has been arrested after a crash between a motorbike and a car in Fakenham yesterday.
Police have launched an investigation after the death of a motorcyclist following the collision on Cattle Market Street, near to the junction with Bridge Street, at around 11.15pm.
A white Honda motorbike and a silver Mitsubishi Shogun were involved in the crash, and police said the driver of the Mitsubishi failed to stop at the scene.
The motorcyclist was taken to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital with life-threatening injuries, but he died this morning. His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a man in his 30s, has been arrested in connection with the incident and was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.
An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.
