Motorcyclist dies at Queen Elizabeth Hospital following road collision at Stradsett
Police are questioning a man in his 20s following the death of a motorcyclist at Stradsett this morning (Thursday, January 31).
Emergency services were called shortly after 7.30am after reports of a collision between a motorcyclist and a Ford Transit van near to The Foldgate Inn at the junction of the A134 and A1122.
The male motorcyclist was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries where he died.
A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident. He has been taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning where he remains in custody.
The road was closed while initial enquiries were carried out and reopened around noon.
Fire crews from King's Lynn, Swaffham and Thetford arrived at 8.05am to make the scene safe.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, particularly anyone who saw the driving manner of either vehicle prior to the collision or may have dash camera footage of the incident.
