MP given tour of new RAF Marham unit




South West Norfolk MP Elizabeth Truss, pictured above left, has been given a behind the scenes look at the new fighter planes and facilities now in place at RAF Marham.

The first of the Lightning F-35 jets arrived in West Norfolk from the United States earlier this year.

Ms Truss, pictured above with station commander, Group Captain Ian Townsend, visited the base to meet personnel, see the facilities and learn about future plans for the site.

She said: “The Great British brand is recognised around the globe as a high value product and I am delighted that the expertise, engineering and training from our military and industry partners is proving to be a huge asset to the county.” Picture submitted
