New Narborough car boot sales off A47 prove popular

The first two car boot sales held on a five-acre site off the A47 at Narborough on Sundays have attracted plenty of interest from numerous buyers and sellers.

Gary Meads, of West Lynn, had spotted the site's potential for such use three years ago and bought the land earlier this year.

He told the Lynn News: "It's a super prominent site with thousands of cars passing every day. There couldn't be a better spot and the access is good.

"We held the first sale on August 25 and yesterday, September 1, we doubled the amount of pitches. It's going to build up as more and more people get to know about it.

"I have had lots of inquiries from Lynn way and it's also worth pointing out that XL buses from Wisbech stop only about half a mile away.

"Marham is just around the corner so we are getting a lot of interest from local people as well as those coming from further afield."

He said that the car boot sales will continue this year until the end of October and are due to restart in Easter 2020 ready for trade throughout the summer.

So far this year pitches have been free which will continue, next Sunday, September 8. The offer may be extended further. Admission for adult visitors is 50p, with no charge for children.
