New Safe Landing Hub to come to Fakenham thanks to partnership with The Parachute Project and Grocott & Murfit’s Building Norfolk
A children’s mental health service has partnered with a building company’s support programme to create a new community space.
The Safe Landing Hub will be located on Oak Street in Fakenham offering a variety of free services, including drop-in sessions, to the area.
Launched by The Parachute Project - a group that supports children and families - and Building Norfolk - an initiative by Grocott & Murfit - the hub will become a secondary office space so more clients can be helped.
The first session on Wednesday, March 5 will focus on self-harm and self-injury in partnership with S&L Safe Cut Kits and in recognition of Self-injury Awareness Day.
It is open to anyone affected to call by for a hot drink, a listening ear, and non-judgemental support and resources.
Safe Landing will also hold coffee mornings for SEND parents and carers, as well as host after-school safe hangout clubs and become a venue for other charities to host meetings and group events.
A spokesperson for The Parachute Project said: “Through this partnership with Building Norfolk, The Parachute Project is taking an important step towards creating a brighter future for children and families in Fakenham and beyond.
“We look forward to creating a true community space where hope and support are always within reach.”
